Save The Bees Poster

Bee organic. Grow Organic.

For this project, we had to select a problem/cause in the world and create a protest poster using unconventional materials. But, the real trick was that we could not use any traditional mark making techniques (drawings, painting, printing, etc.). We were encouraged to explore the value in everyday and nostalgic items.

I chose “Save the Bees” for my cause. Bees are important in our everyday production and consumption of food, and pesticides that are used in farms and gardens are toxic to bees and are killing them. The goal I had for this poster was to take a passive aggressive approach to influence people to use organic fertilizers and weed killers.

Dead Bees (Purchased online!)

Lemonade Mix to represent pollen

Sunflower Seeds

Fake Flowers and Grass
